Harmonisation of certain aspects of copyright and related rights A8-0209/2015
I welcome many of the ideas included in this report which support the creative industry and evidence-based improvements to the current legal framework.
However at today's vote one outstanding issue of concern remained regarding the Freedom of Panorama and a clause which would alter the status quo in the UK regarding commercial use exceptions.
I believe that Member States should retain flexibility in this area and I do not support an EU-approach to this issue; I therefore voted to delete references to the Freedom of Panorama today.
